Sooner or Later

Pull the hair back from your eyes
Let the people see your pretty face
Try not to say anything weird

Save your questions without answers
'Til your old enough to know that things ain't as they appeared

Before you go out in the sun
Cover your skin and don't get burned
Beware the cancer, it might kill you when you're old

Be first in line, raise your hand
Remember everything you hear
And playing in the rain is worth catching cold

Sooner or later
We'll be lookin' back on everything
And we'll laugh about it like we knew what all was happening
And someday you might listen to what people have to say
Now you learn the hard way

We only want what's best for you
That's why we tell you what to do
And nevermind if nothing makes sense

'Cause it all works out in the end
You're just like us without a friend
But you can build a privacy fence (Yeah)

Somethings you have to learn them all on your own
You can't rely on anybody else
Or the point of view of a source unknown
If it feels good and sounds nice
Then it's your choice don't doubt yourself
Don't even think twice

Pull the hair back from your eyes
Let the people see your pretty face
You know they like it when you smile (Find a reason to smile)

Try not to focus on yourself
Share that love with someone else
Don't let the bitters bring you down
Don't let anything bring you down

So weird to be back here

Good morning, son.
I am a bird
Wearing a brown polyester shirt
You want a coke?
Maybe some fries?
The roast beef combo's only $9.95
It's okay, you don't have to pay
I've got all the change

Everybody knows
It hurts to grow up
And everybody does
It's so weird to be back here
Let me tell you what
The years go on and
We're still fighting it, we're still fighting it
And you're so much like me
I'm sorry

Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things

Everybody knows
It sucks to grow up
And everybody does
It's so weird to be back here.
Let me tell you what
The years go on and
We're still fighting it, we're still fighting it
You'll try and try and one day you'll fly
Away from me

Good morning, son
I am a bird

It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things

Everybody knows
Tt hurts to grow up
And everybody does
It's so weird to be back here.
Let me tell you what
The years go on and
We're still fighting it, we're still fighting it
Oh, we're still fighting it, we're still fighting it

And you're so much like me
I'm sorry

Delhi, my country my games...

Corruption is the unacknowledged mistress of the Indian Politician. Something we live with stoically, though with latent unease, like the ghost in the attic. Then why suddenly all this ballyhoo about bribes, doctored eMails, manipulated tenders and multi crore deals concerning the commonwealth games.
Simple, corruption has poisoned SPORTS, the stormy petrel of national pride, something that makes India feel good. OR Angry. Sportsmen are our only heroes left.
Nehru, Indira Gandhi & ABV may have been the last of India's political icons; in the national lampoon, Indian politician is a venal caricature.
In good old days, before India became obsessed with flat screen TVs, shiny new cars and the great Indian dream of buying an apartment in Gurgaon or Goregaon, corruption was the cocaine of the masses; in the era of 5yr plans, Ambassador cars and Doordarshan there was little else to be self righteous about. But today Tendulkar is God, Bindra and Nehwal are heroes and the voluptuous Sania Mirza critics' favorite subject. Sports is the most powerful face of Indian patriotism; never mind Milkha did badly at the '60 Olympics, he still is a torch bearing hero at most sporting events.
So, when CWG scandals erupted it was dirt flung at the tri-colour itself. Pilits took over sports a long time ago, but those who stay electric in the static of public memory are our sports persons. The Politician by common wisdom IS corrupt. In 1939 Gandhi wrote, "I would go to the lengths of giving the whole congress a decent burial, rather than put up with the corruption that is rampant." But does India care ? (The last scandal that outraged the country was the Bofors or the Urea scam.)
In history, sports is war's splendid heir, its glory sublimating into courage. The Olympic, Football world cup, all celebrate the triumph of human spirit. Into this the Indian Politics has casted a tainted shadow, the Justice may not triumph fully but the country will never forget the 2010 CWG or forgive.

Time Magazine on the Master

When Sachin Tendulkar travelled to Pakistan
to face one of the finest bowling attacks ever assembled in cricket,
Michael Schumacher was yet to race a F1 car,
Lance Armstrong had never been to the Tour de France,
Diego Maradona was still the captain of a world champion Argentina team,
Pete Sampras had never won a Grand Slam.

When Tendulkar embarked on a glorious career taming Imran and company,
Roger Federer was a name unheard of;
Lionel Messi was in his nappies,
Usain Bolt was an unknown kid in the Jamaican backwaters.
The Berlin Wall was still intact,
USSR was one big, big country,
Dr Manmohan Singh was yet to "open" the Nehruvian economy.

When you've only got a 100 years to live

I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind

I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star
15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

Half time goes by
Suddenly you're wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...

I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are

15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you're on your way
Every day's a new day...

15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

Some questions...some answers

Practice makes you perfect.....
But nobody's perfect.....
so why practice?

If it's true that we are here to help others
then what exactly are the others here for?

Since light travels faster than sound,
people appear bright until you hear them speak.

How come "abbreviated" is such a long word?

Money is not everything
There's Mastercard & Visa

One should love animals
They are so tasty

Behind every successful man, there is a woman
And behind every unsuccessful man, there are two

Every man should marry
After all, happiness is not the only thing in life.

The wise never marry.
and when they marry they become otherwise.

Success is a relative term.
It brings so many relatives

Never put off the work till tomorrow
what you can put off today

Your future depends on your dreams
So go to sleep

There should be a better way to start a day
Than waking up every morning

"Hard work never killed anybody"
But why take the risk

"Work fascinates me"
I can look at it for hours

God made relatives;
Thank God we can choose our friends

The more you learn, the more you know,
The more you know, the more you forget
The more you forget, the less you know
So.. why learn

A bus station is where a bus stops
A train station is where a train stops.
On my desk, I have a work station...
what more can I say........
